I have been to Pittsburg 3 times now, stayed at Lopstick, Tall Timber and now here at Robies. I can tell you without doubt this was the BEST by far. Certainly nothing wrong with the other choices but for price Robies cannot be beaten. We rented the “Crows Nest” its basically a 2 bedroom apartment. Full living room/kitchen and 2 bedrooms (both double beds) so for two guys it was $95… unbelievable (2 couples would also be very happy) they did say they could fit in more with a pull out couch etc but very clean, spacious and very low price makes this place the best in my book. (The have a "House" for larger groups right across the street, or 3 cabins also...
Oh they feed the deer there so every morning and evening you will have about 20 deer just feet away from you… Fun to watch if you like that sort of thing.
Oh PS the owner(s) are very nice and friendly too… thanks Helen! :-)
We try to stay at Robie's every time we visit Pittsburg. Helen & Peter have the cleanest, coziest, & best prices in the north country. All the cabins are new with everything you could need to enjoy your trip.
I recommend everyone try to plan a trip up north and stay with Helen & peter. You'll be back if you do!!!
We went to Pittsburgh, NH for our first family snowmobile trip and loved Robie's Cabins and the owners Helen and Peter- we stayed in the Luther House, it was super clean, cozy and comfy. Our family loved it. Can't wait to go back next year. You can't beat the price for the great accommodations!
I'M NOT SURE WHERE TO START ABOUT OUR STAY WITH HELEN AND PETER AT THE LUTHER HOUSE. THE MOMENT MY HUSBAND AND I WALKED INTO THE HOUSE WE FELT RIGHT AT HOME. THE HOUSE WAS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED AND TOTALLY CLEAN. WE HAVE STAYED AT MANY OTHER PLACES IN PITTSBURG BUT THIS ONE WAS THE CROWN JEWEL. THE HOUSE WAS THE HOUSE FULLY EQUIPPED ( MORE TOWELS THAN I HAVE EVER SEEN ). THERE WAS ALSO A WASHING MACHINE AND DRYER. THE HOUSE ALSO HAD A 42" TV BUT TO BE QUITE HONEST WE MAYBE WATCHED IT FOR NO MORE THAN 1 HOUR FOR THE MONTH WE HAD THE HOUSE AS WE SPENT MOST OF OUR TIME EITHER ON THE WONDERFULL PORCH ( THE VINE & WHITE LIGHTS ARE SUCH A GREAT TOUCH) OR AT THE FIRE PIT ( ALL THE WOOD YOU WOULD EVER NEED IS PROVIDED). WATCHING THE HUMMINGBIRDS FEED AND FIGHT WAS ALSO AN ADDED PLUS.THE BED WAS QUITE COMFORTABLE AND TO HAVE THE EXTRA BATHROOM WAS GREAT. PETER AND HELEN WERE AWESOME AND TREATED US AS WE WERE PART OF THE FAMILY. BOTH MY HUSBAND AND I ARE SO LOOKING FORWARD TO RETURNING AND TO BE QUITE HONEST, I CAN'T IMAGINE NOW GOING ANYWHERE ELSE.
To live in this house would be a dream come true. As city dwellers who live in an apartment, coming to stay in this house WAS our vacation. Saw countless deer, a fox, and a bald eagle over 3 days. Already planning our next trip back. House was spotless and the owners were great. Would recommend to anyone who asked. Thank you for letting us be a tiny chapter in Luther House history!
I wanted to let you know how much the Boston crew really had a marvelous time this past weekend in Pittsburg, NH at the Luther House, we can't stop reminiscing. Your house was very lovely, cozy, warm, and accommodating which made the stay very pleasant for all of us. I wanted to personally thank you for the cupcakes, it was an unexpected great birthday gesture that I am sure no one else would have done if we rented from someone else. This kind gesture made the trip extra special for me and I thank you for this. We will definitely recommend this house to anyone who would be interested in snowmobiling or a place to stay in NH. Once again, we thank you for the great and enjoyable stay!
I rate this place 5 stars!!!
We would just like to tell everyone looking at this sight,, that this home is exactly what it says,, we stayed here for 4 nights, it was just so nice and cozy,,,,the perfect place to catch a snowmobile trail out side your door,,,down the street we had breakfast in a movie kind of a restaurant, old fashion and fun,,, it was the perfect setting,,, we had dinner every night somewhere different, and each night was awesome,,, the people in pittsburgh were very kind and easy to chat with,, back at the house each morning we had a nice big breakfast,, which was great to be able to cook for ourselves,, we were able to watch movies at night time, thanks to the dvd player and the large tv in the living room,,, the wood burning stove kept the place nice and warm,, deer in the back yard every day,, it was just beautiful,,, and there was a moose roaming around,up the street, but we did miss him,,and the owners are awesome!!! ,We"ll be back!!!! Thanks,, the gang from Wilmington, Ma.
We came up for some snowmobiling. The snow was not very good, but this home was definitely worth it. Everyone slept well and there was plenty of room to move. We had all the comforts of home. A big thank you to Helen and Pete. This is a hidden treasure and we plan to come up again, maybe for some spring fishing!
